1. Wendy drove to my family's neck of the woods and we sat outside at a French bakery and had a late lunch--potato leek soup, these delicious little pastry doo-dads, and apricot iced tea. Roofrauff came with us and for the most part behaved perfectly, lying under the table. Though there was the part when he was trying to catch bees in his mouth... Being there with Wendy and RR was the best possible way to spend the afternoon, totally relaxing and super fun. We always laugh so hard. And our love is the kind that goes way, way back.
2. Packing up to head home is going pretty smoothly so far.
3. In 45 hours Eric will be within arm's reach.
4. My dad asked for a back rub tonight. There is so little that I can do to help him feel better, and this really seemed to help.
5. I am thankful that my job is giving me a chance to finish my contract.
